If you've ever been sick and prescribed medicine, you've seen the work of pharmacy technicians firsthand. Pharmacy technicians work with pharmacies, hospitals, and doctors, in order to safely provide medications for various patients and their separate medical needs.

Pharmacy technicians are an integral part of the health care field, as they provide medications for all kinds of illnesses, ensure the correct dosage is being given, and process insurance and copays for patients.

How to Write a Summary for a Pharmacy Technician

  1. Mention years of experience. Be sure to include how many years you've been in the industry. This will help the hiring manager gauge where you are at that point in your career.
  2. Be clear and state your goals. What are you looking for in this job? How do you hope to grow as a pharmacy technician? This is your chance to share your goals and passions.

Senior Level Work Experience as a Pharmacy Technician

  • Received orders from the wholesaler
  • Repackaged and dispensed medication from bulk to individual doses
  • Properly disposed of sharps and other hazardous materials
  • Refilled Code trays, STEMI kits, and anaphylaxis kits
  • Communicated with patients regarding their medication and overall healthcare
  • Delivered medication to ADC, Med Room, and nurses
  • Properly and accurately retrieved medications for hundreds of patients
  • Checked expiration dates for medication and properly disposed of any expired medications
